Brooklyn was born in October 2013 at a local hospital in our area. Later she was transfered to a more equipped hospital and was placed in the NICU. For days no one could tell me what was wrong with her. Later they discovered she was born as a collodion baby and would develop Ichthyosis. She was born with this rare skin disorder that only happens 1 out of 300,000 babies, but we were so happy that the NICU staff helped us and took care of our angel so well. Brooklyn to this day still has Ichthyosis but she will always be our 9 day NICU miracle. So this September I celebrate our beautiful almost 1 year old girl. Thank you NICU.
