Through our services, we give from our heart, to inspire families with the hope of tomorrow.
Welcome to Neonatal Intensive Care Awareness Month!
Established in 2014 by Project Sweet Peas, a 501(c)3 national non-profit organization coordinated by volunteers, this month holds a special place in our hearts. Our dedicated volunteers have a personal connection to the NICU world, and through their own experiences, they have become passionate advocates for supporting families of premature or sick infants and those who have suffered pregnancy and infant loss.
We strive to build a strong and supportive community. Our primary goal is to increase awareness of the challenges faced by families and medical professionals in the NICU. We understand the complexities, fears, and hopes that surround the journey of these tiny fighters, and we are here to stand by them every step of the way.
Moreover, we aim to expand resources for NICUs nationwide, ensuring that these critical care units have access to the tools and support they need to provide the best possible care for our tiniest and most vulnerable community members. By coming together during this special month, we can collectively make a difference and positively impact the lives of those touched by the NICU journey.
Join us in spreading awareness, supporting families, and acknowledging the incredible dedication of the healthcare professionals in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Together, we can create a brighter and more hopeful future for the little warriors who inspire us every day. Let's make Neonatal Intensive Care Awareness Month a time of unity, compassion, and understanding as we strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by the NICU experience.
